IMPORTANT NOTES

Data Sheets

The values given in Argus data sheets are taken from detailed design qualification testing of products. Gains given are peak or near peak measured values in each band. Gains for product versions with internal diplexers are typically 0.3dB less than for the versions without diplexers. Typically, a 0.5dB measurement tolerance applies.

Safety

Antenna installation should be undertaken by suitably trained personnel following the supplied installation instructions.

Argus antennas have been designed to survive the environmental conditions stated in the data sheets. Antennas that have been exposed to environmental conditions close to or exceeding these quoted limits should be inspected for damage as soon as possible after the event.

When designing an antenna site local wind conditions must be taken into account. Care should be taken to ensure that mounting structures are rigid in design to prevent the antenna being exposed to dynamic oscillating loads. Fatigue resulting from this type of loading may compromise the integrity of the antenna’s mechanical structure. In addition it should be noted that icing will reduce the ability of an antenna to withstand high wind loads.

Some Argus antennas are available that can survive wind speeds greater than those quoted in the data sheets. For more information please contact Argus Technologies.

Additional precautions should be exercised when installing antennas near high voltage power lines to avoid electrocution.
